Our Founder, Shane Deckert, is committed to our mission and knows what it means to dedicate his life to accomplishing what seems like the impossible to him. He has run multiple marathons and knows the commitment, planning, and drive it takes to prepare for and complete one. During his military career, he was driven. Shane gave up his comfortable life to deploy to Iraq for a year and then to Liberia (Africa) during the Ebola Crisis (amongst other deployments).
Marathon Communities' specialization in multifamily investing has attracted investors from all across the country who seek to deploy their capital with us. We are offering individuals the opportunity to invest in our deals alongside us.
We believe in each and single one of our deals. If the deal doesn't work, it's not worth the time and effort, let alone our hard-earned money. Most deals simply don't work for us due to our conservative criteria. But, when we find a great deal, we invest alongside you. If we don't believe in our deals and have skin in the game, why should you?

Shane studied Civil Engineering and Spanish. He holds a Masters in Business Management and his Professional Engineering License. Shane has over 12 years of building design and construction experience in large commercial properties. From smaller dormitories to large housing facilities, he has extensive knowledge of the ins-and-outs of buildings. His goal is to find the perfect apartment for investors to become financially free from!

Gino Barbaro owned and operated a restaurant for over twenty years before transitioning full-time into MultiFamily real estate. He’s been investing in real estate for over 15 years and grown his multifamily portfolio to nearly 1200 units with his partners. His passion lies in running the client relations for Rand Partners, along with underwriting deals and exploring new opportunities in the national market. He has also created a real estate education company called Jake & Gino, written two bestselling books, one in real estate and one in cooking, cohosts the number one multifamily podcast on iTunes, and empowers individuals to take control of their lives through his coaching business. Gino is a graduate of Fairfield University and IPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching). He currently lives in Florida with his wife and six children.
Jake Stenziano, MBA spent 10 years performing various roles in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry before actively perusing multifamily investments in 2010. Since then he has formed 12 real estate holding companies and acquired nearly 1000 multifamily units with his partners. Jake also enjoys running the day-to-day operations of Rand Property Management LLC. Jake has worked with brokers, sellers, title insurers, appraisers, engineers, architects, property management software companies, attorneys, lenders, equity partners, insurance companies, leasing and property management teams; negotiated terms for new leases, renewals, and RUBS; ensured compliance and tenant billing; and hired employees in property management. He also has extensive experience with acquisition analysis and due diligence. Additionally, Jake has extensive marketing knowledge and has successfully managed multimillion dollar territories in New York and Tennessee for GlaxoSmithKline. He is also the host of the number one multifamily podcast on iTunes and has a best selling book on multifamily investing. Jake and his family reside in Knoxville, Tennessee
